The purpose of ADR axles is in the name – Axle Direct Replacement. These axles are meant to be your quickest easiest replacement of a stock axle and they’re priced accordingly coming in at $119.95.
That’s not to say they’re disposable. In fact, in many ways you can expect similar durability and performance as our Heavy Duty Rhino axles. The main difference between an ADR axle and a Rhino axle, besides the price, is the warranty. ADR axles come with just a 60 day warranty. But at that price, they’re perfect for the casual rider who just wants a new or spare axle that works when they’re out hunting or working.
Heavy Duty Rhino Axle
You’ve heard of Rhino Axles. If you’re reading this, I’m willing to bet that you’ve bought a Rhino Axle a time or two. This is one of the most popular axles in the entire industry.
And the reason it’s so popular is because it’s solid. It’ll beat out just about any other heavy duty axle on the market and comes in at $199.95. So it’s also cheaper than most heavy duty axles too. A winning combination for the rider that likes to abuse his machine.
Another plus is that it comes with a 12 month warranty so you’ve got more leeway than with an ADR Axle.
Rhino 2.0 Axle
Rhino 2.0 Axles are our newest axles. These are the result of thousands of hours of research and development. We bought brand new axle endurance testers and breakers to make sure we knew exactly how strong this thing was. We bought every axle on the market so we could see how Rhino 2.0 stacked up against them on our axle breakers and endurance testers. If ours wasn’t better than the next guy’s, we made it better and tested it again until we had an unbreakable performance axle.
This axle is for serious riders who need to never break an axle. It’s perfect for racers, rock crawlers, hill climbers, and anybody else who likes to push the limit.
We talked about these axles a lot a few months back when we first unveiled them, but there are a few points that are worth belaboring. Like the fact that Rhino 2.0 is as strong or stronger than the best offroad performance axles available. Check out this graph:
That graph is a little busy – each line represents a different brand axle. Like I told you, we tested a lot of axles.
The Rhino and Rhino 2.0 Axles are represented by the dark blue lines. The stock RZR Turbo axle is the dark red line. Any vertical line you see represents where an axle completely snapped, i.e. the axle is in two pieces. The higher the line makes it before that point, the better. We tested all of these axles on the exact same axle breaker under the same conditions.
The Rhino Axle lands at the high end of that clump of heavy duty axles. The Rhino 2.0 is at the high end of performance axles.
The part that makes it hard to recommend any axle over a Rhino 2.0 Axle is that it’s actually cheaper than most of those heavy duty axles that aren’t even as good as a regular Rhino Axle!
You can get a Rhino 2.0 Axle for just $224.95 and it comes with a whopping 18 month warranty. Not that you’ll get a chance to use it – I don’t think many people are going to be breaking this axle within 18 months. Maybe if you drive it off a cliff or something. It happens.
But an axle’s break point is only half the story. It has to run well too. And to make sure we got that right, we bought ourselves an endurance tester and a thermal camera. That way, we can test different grease compounds and CV builds to ensure they’re not building up too much heat. Because you can make the strongest axle in the world, but if the CV joint overheats, that axle is kaput! That’s why some of the leading axles have such intense break-in periods.
Apparently we figured something out that they couldn’t because Rhino 2.0 Axles don’t require a break-in period. They work at peak efficiency from the first time you start moving.
Our endurance tester heats axles up, and the right grease keeps it cool. That’s why Rhino 2.0 Axles work well up to 300° F. We’ve only been able to come near that temperature under real world conditions in intense endurance races like King of the Hammers and the Mint 400.

Rhino 2.0 axles have seen plenty of action. Our very own Tyler Greves was running them through the entirety of King of the Hammers and the Mint 400. He finished both without any axle trouble whatsoever.
